1/ Command :

  • TOL2

2/ Description :

This tool allows you to easily insert Deviation Tolerances (upper and lower limits) next to existing dimension text without modifying dimension styles.

  • No Styles Needed : Bypasses the complex DIMSTYLE setup for tolerances.

  • Auto-Formatting : Automatically adds the + and - signs to your numeric inputs.

  • Layer Aware : The tolerance text is created on your Current Layer.

  • Limitation : Supports Horizontal and Vertical dimensions only (Aligned/Rotated dimensions are not supported).

3/ How to Use :

  1. Type TOL2 in the command line and press Enter.

  2. Select a Dimension Object (Horizontal or Vertical).

  3. Specify the Insertion Point for the tolerance text (typically the bottom-right corner of the dimension measurement).

  4. Enter the Plus (+) value (number only).

  5. Enter the Minus (-) value (number only).

  6. The deviation tolerance is generated immediately at the selected location.
